I recently got asked by the amazingly talented Alex Noble to be a part of the Batty Bass Crew working on the Offical MTV EMA after show Party held in Belfast's Europa Hotel. The good people of MTV let us have complete creative freedom within the space that had been curated by Alex Noble. The team Alex Noble,Cordelia Weston, Emma Allen,Saskia Wickins and I together helped create the world of Batty Bass.. It truely looked amazing, it felt like a showcase gallery with elements of Pop Art, Tribal markings Sci-Fi and beautiful geometry for this hedonistic shindig... Within the Batty Bass room we had an amazing Cinema room with customized leather sofas, beautiful tribal mannequins, floor to ceiling murals with classic neon signs, not forgetting the multi coloured phones, neon drips and layered BB Flyers adorning the walls....

To Top off all this amazing artwork who better than Hannah Holland and the whole Batty Bass crew to provide you with the soundtrack to this extravagant creative and musical experience......

‘INVADERS OF THE LOST MASKS’ presents a twisted juxtaposition of styles and worlds from Graphic Artists and long-time 55DSL friends Bec Dennison and Luke Embden. Showcasing their opposing styles, the exhibition focuses on themes of collaboration and clashing, light vs dark, bringing irony and humor to the dark and surreal.

Woven into the melancholy, dreamy landscapes are secret typographic messages. The artwork encourages the viewer to look a little deeper to uncover hidden depth and meaning, and though emotive undercurrents are unmistakable, the art remains playfully engaging. Seizing nooks and crannies to fill with their signature styles, the artists have explored and utilised, not only the gallery space but the exterior facade as a canvas.

Emma Gibson, Fred Butler, Louise Riley, Luke Embden, Anna Bruder, Celia Arias, Jay Barry Matthews, Moses Powers, Adam Vergette, Clare Whittingham, Martin Wollerstam, Justine Josephs, Cordelia Weston, Alex Noble.

The Gallery Superstore invites artists for it’s fourth group show, to explore the themes and practices of the parlor game originating ‘Exquisite Corpse’. A name given by the Surrealists when they first played the game also known as ‘Consequences’. In it’s original form it was a play of sentences and adjective nouns. Finding the practice playful and enriching, the surrealist developed it into more of an art form that has been celebrated to this day.
And can now be seen as drawing, collage and sculpture and inspires artists to fashion designers and photographers.

The morbidness of the games title seems to push through when inspiring previous art works of this theme, moving away from the playful to the more subversive, as seen in the work of Hans Bellmer’s ‘poupee’ series and the sculptures of Louise Bourgeois.
The art of creating figures from a varied number of objects gave a way to represent characters and symbolize parts of their psyche with effective and sometimes disturbing results. The random objects used may reflect the jumbled assortment of ideas and emotions manifested by the artist. To show physical strength or weakness as well as mental intent.

With the modern obsessions for body modification, ground breaking scientific developments and constant referencing to the past and the future. This exhibition gives artists scope to produce a figure that is diverse and unique, surreal and hap hazard or meticulous in creation.
The concept gives access to explore gender and social roles with the freedom to be playful as well as serious in discussion, what will we learn about the artist by what they create?

The exhibition seeks to be 3D installation lead, with the artists life size ‘cadavers’ hanging from the Superstore meat hooks, as an eclectic morgue of objects of intrigue.

Recently I entered a illustration competition run by Don't Panic where each entry is auctioned off and all proceeds going to The Macmillan Cancer charity..... Amazingly my Hand pulled Screen Print was picked as the winner in the competition, judged by Chris Ratcliffe and Hannah Havana from Garudio studiage.
Being picked as the winner I had my design printed onto all the goodie bags....
There was also lots of amazing talented fashion designers and illustrators and a beautiful Installation room by Pam Hogg

But fast forward a few years and the stores expanded stocking all the big street brands,clothing and sneakers and also exhibiting art work from some of street arts heavyweights including Mode 2, Fafi to name a few.......Still most definately worth passing through...

Been to Berlin many a times and always love discovering little frith stores and independent boutiques....On my recent trip I discovered this gem of a shop "Superstore" full of many vintage delights, lots of carefully sourced fashion pieces and accessories, so no need to rummage through the shit......Beautiful graphic prints and colourful pieces, the store itself also has amazing bold murals through out the basement store (painted by the owner david) with 80s furnishing fixtures .....a must for any vintage lover and street style fashionista....And the owner David is one of the friendliest that you'll meet...Happy Shopping :)

It’s now become a bit of a tradition, that each year, the good old bench outside 55DSL that offers so many people a spot to chill when the weather’s nice, gets a good old make-over ready for Summer. Now the sun has started to rear it’s head again of late, we’ll be doing our annual bash this coming Saturday, 24th April from 2pm.

I'll be outside reviving the bench back to life with a fresh lick of paint, whilst heavyweight DJ NICKNAME will be inside, playing a mix of Hip Hop, Funk, Soul and Beats.

Swing by, say hi, and who knows, we've the foosball tables outside and there might even be some free drinks too (not confirmed, so don’t quote me on that one!).

This will be a great chance to chill (especially if you’ve been the The Nextmen party that I’m playing at the night before ), and catch with the 55 crew before many of them move on to pastures new.

A computer rendering of how Strarford High Street could look come 2012, comparisons to Manhattans Fifth Avenue have been made by the papers. Stratford High Street being one of the key access points for the Olympics and also the 2012 London Marathon. I've mixed thoughts on this ambitious project but one thing is sure, it's a matter of time to see how it'll look.

Above are the two renderings of the iconic Pinnacle tower and the Heron tower both currently under construction.

Love these ESPO Nikes, they're one of a few pairs that I'd really like in my collection.
Designed by Graffiti artist Espo these are pure slickness, and am a sucker for the transparent structure of this particular kick.
My good old friend Mubi has a pair and these beauties and managed to check them whilst at his gaff, he has one of if not thee BIGGEST collection of trainers, literally he is " there was a young man who lived in a Trainer"
We're talking floor to ceiling throughout his bedroom, hallway and attic is full off boxed up kicks......Check the video and you'll get the gist.

Christmas get together @ number 42 was amazing, I never managed to make it to the pale blue door but this pop up restaurant created by set designer Tony Hornecker lived up to expectations. The Architecture Foundation collaborated on this project and let Tony loose within the Architecture Foundations space....From walking into the space I instantly felt like I was in honey I shrunk the kids and we were in this massive dolls house, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore, I especially liked the table for two in the lavatory......and as for the cabaret, words cannot describe it.
